I am a Russian-born photographer currently living in Philadelphia. I often travel back to my hometown Chelyabinsk in the Ural Mountain region of Russia (yes, it gets very cold there and no, there are no bears). I have a BA in photojournalism from Temple University in Philadelphia PA. I freelance for Philadelphia Weekly, www.phrequency.com, www.philly.com, Metro Philadelphia and other publications. Some day I will add The New York Times to this list. I’d like to travel the world with my camera photographing musicians, street life, interesting faces, nightlife and parties, cities and towns and anything else that moves me. Besides photography, I enjoy European art film, reading books, experimental electronic music, bike riding and hugging cats.
